Box Elder Bugs

As has happened every year at this time, we have been invaded by box elder bugs. Nathan took a great interest in this poor chap who decided to crawl across the tv room floor last night.

Nathan's Favorite Spot

No matter how tired and cranky Nathan is getting, once Brian gets Nathan seated with him on the recliner watching tv, Nathan becomes the most content and happy boy you could meet.

Peek-A-Boo!!!

Yesterday Nathan just started playing with a burp cloth and we ended up having a fun game of Peek-A-Boo. Of course when Brian came home and I tried to get it started back up to show him, Nathan  had absolutely no interest in it!

Nathan's First Haircut (Before and After)

Well, we finally did it. We finally had to trim some of Nathan's hair because it was just getting a little too long. These aren't the best before and after pictures, but I think you can kind of see the difference. I do need to go back and do a little "feathering" so his right side doesn't stick out so much!

Oh I'm Bringing Home a Baby Bumble Bee!

Most likely we will not make it out to do any trick-or-treating Halloween night since Nathan's bedtime is about 7pm. But I couldn't not get him a Halloween costume for his first Halloween. So today when we went into the Madison Fall Festival I dressed him up in his little bumble bee costume.

Giggles Round Two

I could not resist taking more video of Nathan getting such a kick out of being tickled.

Nathan's Favorite Toys

No question about it - Nathan's favorite toys are these colorful stacking cups. They are one of the few toys that, if they are out of his reach, he will get really frustrated when he can't get to them. The other day I purposefully put them out of his reach and I had to spend a very stressful 20 minutes watching him as he would try to reach for them and just...not...quite...make...it. However, the happy ending to this story is that eventually he did shimmy himself forward enough that he reached one of the cups.
