Oh I'm Bringing Home a Baby Bumble Bee!

Most likely we will not make it out to do any trick-or-treating Halloween night since Nathan's bedtime is about 7pm. But I couldn't not get him a Halloween costume for his first Halloween. So today when we went into the Madison Fall Festival I dressed him up in his little bumble bee costume.

Nathan's Favorite Toys

No question about it - Nathan's favorite toys are these colorful stacking cups. They are one of the few toys that, if they are out of his reach, he will get really frustrated when he can't get to them. The other day I purposefully put them out of his reach and I had to spend a very stressful 20 minutes watching him as he would try to reach for them and just...not...quite...make...it. However, the happy ending to this story is that eventually he did shimmy himself forward enough that he reached one of the cups.

Nathan's Favorite Magazine

Nathan got so excited the other day when I gave him the latest edition of "Corn and Soybean." While he enjoys reading "The Madison News" and "Farmtalk," this is, by far, his favorite reading material.

First Combine Ride!!!

Nathan had his first combine ride this evening as Brian combined soybeans. I was skeptical as to how long he would stay happy since we were well past his dinner time. But we had a great time together!!!

Someone is Not Napping

I put Nathan down for a nap the other day but, 20 minutes later, I could hear lots of noises coming from his crib and found this very happy, very awake baby.
