Brian has shared many times how his Grandpa Bill loved Pepsi and drank it on a regular basis (it is believed that it might have been one of the reasons why he lived to be 93 years old). Well Nathan has taken a strong liking to the beverage!

Grapefruit Boy
One of Nathan's very favorite foods is grapefruit. And this morning he ate one whole grapefruit, plus a couple of bites of mine. (And he likes it without sugar!! (PUCKER))

Blowing Bubbles
I actually made homemade bubbles this weekend. It was incredibly easy!! And Nathan and I had a fun time trying to blow them. Nathan did his best to be successful:
1st Try - He's thinking "Ok, I'm going to do what Momma just did and blow some big bubbles."
2nd Try - He's thinking "Let's try this again. Maybe I didn't push the wand up against my nose enough."
3rd Try - He's thinking "Why isn't this working?!"

Rocks!
Nathan's favorite outdoor activity right now is to take rocks from the front porch and bring them over to the new concrete steps or lumber for the house. He would do this for hours if we let him!!!
Pumpkin Harvest
Brian grew a nice crop of pumpkins this year! We are hoping at least one lasts until Halloween so it can be Nathan's jack-o-lantern. But I have already made a pumpkin pie out of pumpkin grown from the garden, which I was very proud of. (As a side note, do you notice how our little boy needs yet, another, hair cut??)
Our New Basement and Storm Shelter
The work on our addition is coming along. The basement is in, along with a special storm shelter. Work on the new family room should start soon. While Brian was disgruntled that the builders ran over the one watermelon that he had grown in our garden this year, along with a few pumpkins, we are otherwise very happy with the progress!
