Sunday Morning

Nathan was having a good time this morning playing in our new family room (which should have furniture in it in the next few days). He went back and forth between doing his toenails and kicking a ball. Here is a link to some video of it:

Before and After Home Remodeling

Well, a big event took place earlier this week. The builders tore out the wall between the dining room and the new family room. We love it! Here are some before and after pictures:

It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's...Nathan!

Nathan dressed up as Superman for his second Halloween. We had some great fun. We went to Madison's Fall Festival where Nathan participated in the costume contest. And then Thursday night we went out trick-or-treating. It was great fun!

Superman playing with his tractor before the Fall Festival.

Superman watching one "cowgirl" as she rode her horse in town.

Superman was a little apprehensive standing in front of the big crowd for the costume contest.

Superman as we left for our trick-or-treating.

In the Combine

Nathan took another trip in the combine with Brian this week. The combine has a buddy seat in it - it was just right for Nathan!

The Life of a Farmer and His Wife

Brian found this post on the Huffington Post. I laughed the entire time I read it because it is our life. We are dealing with #5 this weekend as we have a family event on Sunday, but the beans need to be harvested.

House Update

Here are some updated pictures of our home renovations:

Our screened-in porch is really taking shape! We are so excited about it.

I took this picture of what will be the family room while I was standing in the doorway to the porch. The staircase leading down to the basement is on the left. The door you see is to what is now the dining room. That door, as well as the wall and window to the left of the door, will be removed so it will be a much larger, more open doorway.

Fall Photo Shoot

We had a beautiful fall morning today and Nathan got a haircut just last night, so I found it to be a great day for a photo shoot. :)
